Mysore Malibu and 5 Point Yoga are honored to host renowned teacher Eddie Stern on Sunday, March 5th. Eddie will teach a led primary series class from 8-9:30 followed by a talk on yoga from 9:30-10:30.

Eddie Stern is the co-founder of Ashtanga Yoga New York, the Brooklyn Yoga Club and the Brooke Street Ganesha Temple. He studied Ashtanga yoga under Sri K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore for 18 years. Eddie has published several books on Pattabhi Jois and Ashtanga Yoga, including Pattabhi Jois’s 1960 treatise, Yoga Mala. He co-founded with Deepak Chopra the Urban Yogi Project, which introduces inner-city youth to yoga and meditation, teaching them powerful tools that they then bring back into their communities as teachers themselves. Eddie also leads a team that writes health and wellness curriculums for under-served public school districts based on yoga and mindfulness, which has been implemented in over 100 schools.
