Zuma Beach | Quick Info

Zuma Beach is one of the most popular beaches in all of Los Angles County. Zuma is located just of Pacific Coast Highway on the northern end of Malibu at 30000 PCH. Zuma is known for its incredibly long and wide beach area, consistently good waves, and large crowds during the summer. If you are planning a day trip to Zuma, we suggest you get there early to claim your spot on the beach and get a good parking spot.

Parking is plentiful at Zuma. There are 12 different parking lots that can cost up to $12.50 for the day. There is also free parking available on Pacific Coast Highway. If you do park on PCH, be extra careful of the traffic around you when you are parallel parking and crossing the street. This can be a very dangerous area.

There are 14 lifeguard towers throughout the beach all manned with lifeguards during the the sunlight parts of the day. Zuma can provide almost any beach activity including surfing, body surfing, boogie boarding, skim boarding, volleyball, fishing, swimming, and much more. Unfortunately there are no tide pools during the low tides. Dogs and alcohol are not permitted on the beach at any time. Amenities at Zuma include restrooms, showers, drinking fountains, volleyball nets, and concessions areas.

Warnings: Be careful when swimming in the ocean. Zuma is notorious for having very strong riptide that can pull swimmers out to sea. Although there are multiple lifeguards on duty, they cannot always see everything.
