Where did the summer go? We somehow find ourselves midway through October and we are left scratching our heads wondering where the time went. No matter how much we try to savor it, summer always seems to pass by in the blink of an eye. Nevertheless, October is here meaning fall is in full swing. The leaves are starting to change and we now get to enjoy those cool, crisp fall mornings.
Since it is that time of year, Malibu, as it does every year, has plenty of fall and Halloween inspired events planned for the month of October! Below, you can find FIVE October events coming up in the next few weeks that you surely won’t want to miss!
1. Halloween Sunset Wine Safari (21+)
Celebrate the Halloween Season in style with this limited-time Safari @ Malibu Wine Safaris! The tour launches from their transformed “Haunted Cabin” at sunset and features a few spooky surprises along the way. Escape the typical haunted Halloween experience and explore the nooks and crannies of Saddlerock Ranch. Trick-or-Treat to signature Saddlerock Wines and wickedly sweet treats. Go dressed in costume for a chance to win great prizes! Tour starts at 5:30pm – 7pm (90 minutes). Available October 27-30th. 21+ only

2. Mr Bones Pumpkin Patch
Founded in 1987, Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch offers Malibu families a spooky, fun environment complete with pumpkin carving, straw mazes, face painting and more. With a wide variety of specialty pumpkins sourced from the family’s farm in Oregon, Mr. Bones is a highly anticipated family tradition.
Bones sells pumpkins in an incredible array of sizes and at all price points, starting at just $1 for baby pumpkins and $60 for jumbos. The patch even has giant organic Big Mac pumpkins that start at 100lbs. and cost on average $100, as well as unique squash and gourds of all varieties.

3. The City of Malibu’s Halloween Carnival
The City's annual Halloween Carnival will take place at Malibu Bluffs Park on Friday, October 28. Admission is free and open to the public
Appropriate for children ages 2-10
The costume parade will begin at 3:30 PM
Carnival Games* include: Treasure Hunt, Penny Toss, and more
Trick or Treat along the City's hiking trails; easy to complete for young children who will be able gather treats along the trail from Halloween characters; open from 3:30-4:30 PM.

Bounce Houses*
*Tickets $5. Bring five canned food items and receive a free unlimited bounce house wristband. Food donations will be given to MHS Thanksgiving Baskets program.

4. Malibu Pie Festival
This is the 27th Anniversary of the Malibu Pie Festival presented by Malibu Methodist Courtyard.
The event is taking place on Saturday, October 15th from 11am to 4pm at 30128 Morning view drive.
Activities include music from Pie baking contests, pie eating contests, kids games, drumming circle, and more!

5. Family Fest at Calamigos Ranch
