1) City of Malibu Holiday Open House
About: The City of Malibu invites the entire community for the annual holiday celebration! This wonderful, free, family friendly event features live classical and jazz performances by talented Malibu High School & Middle School students, as well as a student art exhibition in collaboration with MHS Arts Angels. Enjoy hot cocoa and cider, delicious small bites, and holiday treats.
Bring a new, unwrapped gift for the L.A. County Fire Department’s Spark of Love Toy Drive benefiting at-risk youth, and receive a ticket for the drawing for locally donated prizes.
When: Thursday, December 10th at 4:00PM @ Malibu City Hall
Reason to Go – There are few better ways to to immerse yourself in the community of Malibu than to attend the featured holiday gathering put on by the City itself.
2) Breakfast with Santa
About – The holidays would not be complete without a visit from Santa!Enjoy a family breakfast which includes: pancakes, sausage or bacon, hash browns, orange juice and coffee.
After breakfast, sleigh bells will be ringing for a chance for children to share their secret wish list with Santa who will also be giving out a special gift. Santa’s Workshop will also be open for children to create a seasonal craft.
Bring your camera to capture the holiday magic.
When – Saturday, December 12 at 8:30am @ Point Dume Elementary School.
Reason to Go – This event is perfect for the little ones! Every youngster needs their annual visit to Mr. Clause to let him know what he or she desires this year for Christmas! Combine that with a delicious breakfast and you have yourself a good time. 🙂
3) Canyon Pottery Malibu Annual Holiday Sale

When – The Even takes place Saturday & Sunday, December 12 & 13, from 10am to 3pm @6106 Bonsall Drive.
Reason to Go – Pottery is something that never goes out of style! You most likely use some sort of pottery every day whether it be your morning coffee or pre-bed ice cream bowl. Pottery can be a great gift for anyone during the holiday seasons and best of all you would be supporting your local vendors with a purchase.
4) Artisan Malibu, Support Local for the Holidays
About – Come join your local vendors in a beautiful garden setting for an inspirational afternoon with fresh coffee, food, art, and live music featuring Terin Ector, Jon Maclenna and The LcJandy Boys. Vendors include All Things Malibu, Sagebrush Board Bags, Zamour, Sin Min Lip Balm, BentPenny Coffee, and Love Bites Chocolate.
When – Takes play on December 13th from 2-5pm at 6305 Gayton Place, Malibu.
Reason to Go – This will be a really fun afternoon of good energy! Weather you’re looking to shop some of your local vendors, listen to live music from locals artists, have a cup of coffee, or just chill in a beautiful setting with good people, you surely will have a good time. And again, your supporting local vendors!
5) Malibu Country Mart, Visit From Santa and Live Reindeer!
About – Come down to the Malibu Country Mart to see a visit from Santa, his REAL LIVE reindeers, and enjoy live caroling.
When – December 19th from Noon to 4:00PM @ The Malibu Country Mart.
Reason to Go – If you missed you chance to visit Santa this is the perfect last minutes chance to do so! Even if you already had a visit and the youngsters can’t get enough then come on down. Also, the kids will love the real live reindeer! With just six days until the big day theres no better way to get in the Christmas spirit.
