Canvas Malibu will host a solo exhibition for Eric Mack, ‘Components’ at its Gallery in Malibu California, curated by Jacqueline ‘Jac’ Johnson Forbes (Owner of Canvas . Malibu). This exhibit will coincide with the Erick Mack/Pamela Smith Hudson show ‘Charting the Terrain’ at the California African American Museum (DTLA).

Eric’s work is a fresh presentation of landscapes geometrical patterns, along with abstract and varied aerial views, street views and microscopic reflections of colorfully grid lined articles related or not.

Eric Mack began his career as an illustrator and has evolved to full-scale mixed media layering. His pieces have become the foreground in many major Public and Corporate Installations as well as Permanent Collections. His time as an ex patriot training in Munich and cues from architectural and historical references have inspired his art and taken it to the next level.

Eric Mack’s new collaged paintings, bring bits of Wassily Kandinsky and Kurt Schwitters into the 21st century by way of the shapes of deconstructivist architecture. Kandinsky-like geometric shapes and Schwitters-like segments of measuring tape take on a three-dimensional energy that transmutes into dizzying tilts and whirls in other pieces in the series.”

Canvas . Malibu will host the Official Opening of ‘Components ‘ with An Artist Meet and Greet on March 17^th  from 3-6PM at Canvas Malibu 23410 Civic center Way 90265 in the Malibu Country Mart.
