Malibu Film Society in will be showing a 15^th anniversary screening of Frida, the Oscar-winning film starring Salma Hayek in the amazing “magical realism”-style biography of famed Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo. Note to families: this movie is rated R.

This is in conjunction with this weekend’s 46^th Annual Malibu ArtWalk Festival, which will wind its way through all of the shops on both sides of Cross Creek: Malibu Lumber Yard, Malibu Country Mart, and Malibu Village.

The movie starts at 5:30 in the NE corner of Malibu Village in the parking lot outside Malibu Burger Company (the old Guido’s space).

You can bring your own beach chairs or sit on hay bales, which will be provided along with blankets (it’s going to be quite cool outdoors — dress warmly!).
