The disappearance of Elizabeth Smart was one of the most publicized child abduction cases of the modern era. At just 14 years old, just before graduating from middle school, Elizabeth was abducted at knifepoint from her own bedroom in the middle of the night. She was brutally ripped away from her home and family and held captive for nine months. Elizabeth shares her inspiring story of overcoming unimaginable fear, abuse, and loneliness. She will discuss topics such as triumphing over adversity, the importance and process of recovery, and not allowing your past to dictate your future. Having lived through a nightmarish experience, Elizabeth shares her insights about the importance of never giving up hope during times of struggle.
