The City is in the process of creating a Traffic Management Plan for the Point Dume neighborhood area. The plan will analyze the existing conditions and develop recommendations to reduce vehicle speeds and improve safety for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists. Community input will play a vital role in identifying and determining the plan’s recommended traffic safety improvements.

On Tuesday, February 23 at 6:30 pm, the City is holding the second Community Meeting to discuss the current traffic conditions, the traffic management plan and provide a response to the input received during the first community meeting held in November 2015. The City will discuss potential traffic safety features to improve traffic conditions in the Point Dume neighborhood.

The Community Meeting will be at the Point Dume Marine Science Elementary School, located at 6955 Fernhill Drive, Malibu, CA 90265.

All community members are welcome and encouraged to attend and give their input. Some of the items that will be discussed include speed humps, signage, speeding, parking and other traffic issues. Anyone who wishes to give their input in writing or cannot attend the meeting may submit comments to Rob DuBoux, Assistant Public Works Director, at RDuBoux@malibucity.org.
