The half marathon course starts and ends just north of Point Mugu beach, offering participants a spectacular out and back route along the Pacific Coast Highway.

Traveling along the spectacular and pristine northern Malibu coastline, with rocky bluffs and miles of sandy beaches, runners will likely see dolphins out in the water. Framing the course opposite to the ocean the coastline offers hiking trails that crisscross its hills, rivers and canyons.

From the starting line, the course proceeds from west to east, passing Mugu Rock, featured in many film shoots and television commercials, and Sycamore Canyon to the half-way turnaround just north of Neptune’s Net restaurant. After making the turn, runners head back up the coast to the finish line. The course has no significant hills and is virtually flat (with a few very gentle rolling hills).

This event is a unique opportunity to run up the coast, next to the beach, without fighting cars or traffic.
